FilmFocusIndia.com is the initiative of a group of film critics, film society activists and writers concerned with promoting non-mainstream Indian Cinema. Our objective is to collect pertinent information about contemporary films, filmmakers in all Indian languages, Film Festivals, as well as related matters and disseminate it to targeted readers like noted film critics around the globe, international film festival programmers, film distributors and buyers, broadcasters, financiers, film institutions, IFFS, FFSI and film societies in India and abroad. We are restricting our attention to non-mainstream cinema because mainstream cinema already has a publicity apparatus in place and may not need assistance from an initiative such as ours. Moreover, the intention is also to direct our attention towards transforming informed opinion about Indian cinema and not merely to provide broad publicity targeted at the market.

In order to achieve the above objective, FilmFocusIndia also publishes a quarterly web magazine e-cineindia, to be published in the month of January, April, July and October every year.
